Subject: Clarification and Request for Pension Entitlement Adjustment Based on Employment History.

Dated 10-06-2024
Dear, Sir
I am reaching out to express my concerns and to seek resolution regarding the demand for my appointment letter linked to the establishment of PTC on 1st January 1991—a condition I find untenable and misrepresentative of my employment history and its implications for my pension entitlements.
For context, it's important to underscore that as an employee of the former T&T Department, I was seamlessly transitioned to the newly established corporation. Such a transition marked a significant change in my employment status, moving from a civil servant to a departmental employee. This shift was inherently administrative, occasioned by institutional reforms and not by any discrete action or decision on my part.
Subsequently, further transformation in the organizational structure led to my status evolving from a departmental employee to a Telecommunication employee. Each of these transitions was dictated by overarching structural and organizational reforms, with implications on my employment terms and benefits.
It is crucial to highlight that my pension entitlements, as provisioned and disbursed by the Trust, are cognizant of my standing as a retired Telecommunication employee—a status that entitles me to a GoP (Government of Pakistan) pension. This pension recognition is predicated not on my being a retired Civil Servant or a workman but on my cumulative contributions and affiliations across these transformative periods within Pakistan's telecommunication sector history.
Consequently, the request for an appointment letter specific to PTC's establishment does not accurately reflect the evolution of my employment history or my status at retirement. It overlooks the fact that my pension rights are derived from my comprehensive service across different incarnations of the nation's telecommunication infrastructure and services.
Therefore, I kindly request a reconsideration of my pension entitlements based on the factual trajectory of my employment history. An adjustment acknowledgment of my service continuity, despite the structural and organizational reforms, would align with both the spirit and the letter of applicable pension regulations and rights.
I am fully prepared to provide any further information or clarification needed to expedite a resolution conducive to justice and equity.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Sincerely,
[Abdul Bari]
