Raja Riaz contempt case now finally disposed off

Today , the 27th Oct-17 , Raja Riaz case now finally disposed off with the clear cut direction in written to President PTCL and MD PTET to pay his all dues as per AGPR caculation as per GoP within 15 days posutvily.


Now as per ruling of Honorable Supreme Court in Hameed Akhtar  Niazi case vs Establishement of Pakistan , reported in 1996 SCMR 1185, the benefit of the order of HSCP for Raja Riaz  of today shall be extended to all such PTCL employees and pensioner who belongs to the same category as of Raja Riaz ie , he was transferred employee from PTC to PTCL on 1st January 1996, irrespective of the facts wheather the such type  pensioners were retired at supernuation  age 60 years or got premature retirenent after QoS of 25 years or retired after opted VSS in any circumstances .And If PTCL and PTET , are reluctant , not willing to extand such benefits as of given to Raja Riaz by HSCP, to all other such employees  & pensioners  who were not the party in the case filed by Raja Riaz , then they should be get ready to face serious consequences of contempt of court proceedings under Clause 204(a)(2) . For this HSCP had already clarified / emphasised /  in Anita Turab Ali case reported in PLD 2013 SC 195( Para 20 & 21) for those such state functionery who delibratery refuse to obey and implement SC order with true sprit.
