My Tweet of dated 21st July 2020 regarding the request to Secy (MoITT) payment of pension as per GoP

The Federal Secretary (MoITT) is now  legally bound to implement on the resolution passed by the Honourable House of Senate on January 28, 2020 , in connection for making payments of government increases pension arrears to all PTCL pensioners .

 The Federal Secretary, Ministry of Information Technology and Telecom is kindly requested to act accordingly in favor of all PTCL pensioners , as per the resolution of the Special Report of the Standing Committee of the Honourable Upper House , passed on January 28, 2020 and  PTET be emphasised to make payments the arrears of Government Pension Increases to all PTCL Pensioners as stated in this resolution. The Secretary Committee  had directed to him , vide his letter dated January 29, 2020 ,that in accordance with Clause 196(3) of the Senate Business Rules 2012 Procedure and Conduct , the Ministry is bound to implement  it accordingly as adoption of resolution by Senate, and if  Ministry  is unable to do so , it will have to inform the House , within two months with concrete reasons. If Ministry fails to do so,the decision of the House shall be binding .


More then four moths have been  elapsed of expiry of such two months, but the Secretary (MoITT) has not been able to implement the such decision of the House till date, which is required by him , to be implemented through the Board of Trustees of the Trust . He should not have any difficulty of in enforcing it, as the three government officers  of  MoITT  are the members of the Board of Trustees , having vote casting in majority.Now he has to implement the said decision of the House by hook and crook , as he , now can not be escaped from it .But his conduct  shows that he has lack of interest on it. It seems , he has no respect for the House of Senate .It is also appeared that he can not  go against the interests of PTCL, being working as Chairman of PTCL Board  also and getting a lot of benefits from PTCL.


PTET has been failed , to get stay order  from the IHC on 16th July 2020, for not implementing the its decision of dated 3rd March 2020 , for making payments  of government pension increases to PTCL Pensioners Petitioners accordingly. Which is , now also be required to be got implemented by PTET.
